Our STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill continues its “Quest for the World’s Best Beef” from artisanal farms around the world. From September 9 – October 31, discover “Rubia Gallega” from Northwestern Spain. Known as “Galician Blond”, this rare breed grazes on fresh grass and corn for up to 15 years longer than normal cattle, resulting in beef with a distinct deep flavour and marbling during maturation, and soft and fine texture.

Our STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill continues its “Quest for the World’s Best Beef” with the highest quality beef sourced from artisanal farms around the world.

From September 9 – October 31, the hotel’s Executive Chef Maxime Luvara and STEAK HOUSE Chef Chiu Ming Chan are showcasing Rubia Gallega, one of the most expensive and rare breeds in the world.

Rubia Gallega cattle, native to Galicia in Northwestern Spain, are known as “Galician Blond”, due to their coats which are red-blond, wheaten, or cinnamon-coloured. The cattle are left to graze on a diet of fresh grass and corn for up to 15 years longer than normal cattle, which gives the beef a distinct deep flavour, due to the marbling during maturation, and a soft and fine texture.

The flavour of the meat is further enhanced by dry-aging which gives the fat an essence of blue cheese, nuts and mushrooms.
