From March 1 – April 30, celebrate spring with our “Feast of Sakura” cherry blossom-themed Afternoon Tea Set and Spring Floral Drinks in the Lobby Lounge. The Afternoon Tea Set features an artistic array of savoury items and pastries inspired by cherry blossoms and “hanami” (flower viewing). Our mixologist Sabrina Cantini Budden has created floral themed cocktails to enhance the Tea Set.
To mark the coming of spring when cherry blossoms are in bloom, the Lobby Lounge presents “A Feast of Sakura” from March 1 – April 30 with our cherry blossom-themed Afternoon Tea Set and Spring Floral Drinks.
“A Feast of Sakura” Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea Set
Our afternoon tea set features an artistic array of savoury items and pastries inspired by cherry blossoms and “hanami” (花見, "flower viewing"). “Hanami” is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the fleeting beauty of spring flowers. "Hana" most often refers to "sakura" (cherry blossoms) or occasionally “ume" (plum) trees.
Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis has created a selection of delicate floral inspired French pastries that include:
• Letao Orange/Passion Fruit/Sakura Cake
• Sakura and Rose Box
• Strawberry Fresh Fruit Cream Cake
• Chestnut/Sakura and Green Tea Cake
• Green Tea Panna cotta-Yuzu/Litchi
• Homemade Plain and Raisin Scones, served with Devonshire clotted cream & Sakura Petal Jam.
The Tea Set also features savoury Items by Executive Chef Maxime Luvara and Executive Sous Chef Simon Kwok
• Miso Cauliflower with Caviar
• Shrimp Tartar with Yuzu and Sakura Crispy Shrimp
• Smoked Pastrami with Japanese Cheese
• Duck foie Gras with Sakura Jam
