Rech by Alain Ducasse Opening Night on Valentine’s Day!
Be the very first to dine at our newest restaurant, Rech by Alain Ducasse showcasing the freshest fish and oysters direct from France. February 14 marks the opening day of this new Alain Ducasse restaurant, which is the first international outpost of Rech, Paris’s most famous seafood restaurant.
Treat your loved one to Rech’s opening night dinner, which sure to impress.
Alain Ducasse has created 7-course Valentine’s Day menu at HK$1,288 per person. Rech Executive Chef Stéphane Gortina will be preparing Gratinated oyster with Champagne, followed by Wild red shrimps, with gold caviar. Next is Sea bass with shellfish and baby squid, followed by Beef with foie gras and black truffle, Périgueux sauce. Save room for Rech’s famous Camembert, which will be followed by a refreshing Confit & iced lemon, kombu seaweed. For dessert, “Mr & Mrs Rech”, a surprise dessert.
NOBU InterContinental will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special Omakase Valentine’s Day Dinner Menu. As per Nobu Matsuhisa, “I always put something special in my food – my heart or “kokoro” as we call it in Japanese.” NOBU Executive Chef Sean Mell will present a special 8-course Valentine’s menu at HK$3,288 for 2 persons. The menu features Uni Chawanmushi Caviar / Kinmedai Sashimi Wasabi Salsa / New Style Mirugai Sashimi followed by Aburi Toro/Steamed Awabi, Kuruma Ebi Beetroot Miso. Next is a Deluxe Sushi Assortment, followed by Oyster Santen Mori (Baked Yuzu Truffle Aioli / Tempura Pomegranate Ponzu / Grilled Spicy Miso). Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with Shiso Pesto and Yuzu Soy is followed by A5 Miyazaki Wagyu with Fig & Port Wine Teriyaki. After Clear Soup, save room for Dessert “Love Shadow” (Cheesecake, Rose, Strawberry, Sake).
For a “hearty” meal, THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill presents a 4-course dinner at HK$1,388 per person. The special menu by STEAK HOUSE Chef Chui Ming Chan starts with the “Lovers’ Salad Bar”, followed by ”Dream Lovers”: Truffle Mushroom Cappuccino “For Her” and Blue Crab Bisque “For Him”.
From the Charcoal Grill for the main course there is a choice of US. New York Strip (10 oz), US Petit Filet Mignon (6 oz.), US Rib Eye (12 oz) or Chilean Sea Bass (10 oz) – all served with black truffle gratin potatoes, Romanesco and root vegetables. For dessert, our InterContinental Hong Kong Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis has created a special dessert entitled “Forever Love” which is Entwined Chocolate Hearts with Homemade Praline and Ice Cream.
With its dramatic panoramic harbourview, the Lobby Lounge offers a romantic option for Valentine’s Day Dinner.
Enjoy a 3-course menu at HK$1,988 for 2 persons inclusive of two glasses of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV. The menu features an appetizer sampler to share entitled “Romantic Lovers” — comprised of Aristocrat Caviar, Alaskan Crab Salad with Wasabi Mayonnaise, Seared Spanish Red Prawns and a Foie Gras Terrine with Port Wine Jelly.
For the main course, “In Love” features a choice of French Turbot with Black Truffle Mashed Potatoes or Slow-cooked Australian Wagyu Striploin (M9) with Black Truffle. For dessert, InterContinental Hong Kong’s Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis has created a “Love Gift Box” — a Chocolate Box that opens to reveal a delicate Sakura Jam & Raspberry Palette with Rose Cream on a Coconut Biscuit. From February 1 - March 31, the Lobby Lounge celebrates Chinese New Year and romance with French Perfumery ATELIER COLOGNE with a Clementine themed tea set inspired by ATLELIER COLOGNE’s newest fragrance — Clémentine California, a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for women and men, which launches in Hong Kong on February 1. This new fragrance has top notes of mandarin from Italy, clementine from California and juniper berries from Macedonia; Heart notes of basil from Egypt, Sichuan pepper and star anise from China; and base notes are sandalwood from New Caledonia, cypress from France and vetiver from Haiti.

Next are Pan-seared French Quail with Honey and Roasted Baby Pigeon; Pan-seared Cod Fish with Turnip and Braised Eastern Star Garoupa Roll with Bean Paste and then, Wok-fried Scrambled Eggs with Lobster and Chili and Steamed Egg White with Sea Urchin. The dinner continues with Crispy Wagyu Beef Cheek and Wok-fried Wagyu Beef with Spicy Sauce, followed by Crispy Fried Rice with Alaska King Crab and Mud Crab Claw in Fish Bouillon. Why not treat your loved one to a Cooking with the Culinary Stars Class? On February 18, you can learn to make NOBU Canapés for at-home entertaining with NOBU Executive Chef Sean Mell. Sean will demonstrate how to make Chawanmushi (savoury egg custard), Onigiri NOBU Style (sushi rice balls with various ingredients), NOBU Style Ceviche, Sashimi Tacos with Nobu Salsa and NOBU Style Wagyu Sliders.
