Four of InterContinental Hong Kong's restaurants offer romantic set dinners for two, showcasing enticing menus, attentive service and panoramic harbourviews.

SPOON by Alain Ducasse

1-Michelin star

For an intimate dinner, sure to impress, reserve a table at the 1-Michelin star SPOON by Alain Ducasse, featuring contemporary French cuisine inspired by world-famous chef Alain Ducasse.

On Saturday, February 14, SPOON Executive Chef Stephane Gortina is creating a 6-course dinner at HK$5,288 for 2 persons inclusive of 10% service charge. The special menu starts with Oscietra Caviar with buckwheat blinis, followed by Blue Lobster from Brittany with small spelt and black truffle. Next is Black Angus Chateaubriand with duck foie gras-truffle, followed by Brin'd'amour cheese with country bread, condiments and dried fruit. The indulgent tasting menu continues with Wild Strawberry Charlotte with warm jus; and finally, for dessert, Chocolate Passion Fruit.

Pre-Valentine’s Japanese Terrarium Workshop with MicroForest

Saturday, February 13

NOBU is partnering with Micro Forest, a non-profit organization that supports local single mothers, to conduct a workshop on Japanese Terrarium Arranging. MicroForest is inspired by the Sogetsu ( 草月流 ). The School of Japanese Floral Art (Ikebana) founded in 1927 by Sofu Teshigahara. Its aim is the connection of people and nature through floral arrangements that exemplify peace, beauty and balance. Each Micro Forest is a unique balance of plants and stones, creating harmony and beauty in a glass.

The NOBU Pre-Valentine's Workshop will include an introduction to the history of Japanese Floral Art, plus a hands-on tutorial on MicroForest arrangement, with all the tools and plants needed to create your own Terrarium arrangement (approximately 20 x 20 x 21cm) – a perfect Valentine's gift for that someone special. The workshop includes a light breakfast with coffee and pastries. Following the workshop, enjoy a 6-course NOBU Omakase lunch inclusive of soft drinks or juice and a glass of Champagne or wine. The price is HK$1488 + 10% service per person or HK$2,888 + 10% for couple. (The workshop conducted by Ms. Rainbow Chow, chief tutor from MicroForest, is limited to 10 persons.)

NOBU InterContinental will celebrate Valentine's Day with a special Omakase Valentine's Day Dinner Menu. As per Nobu Matsuhisa, "I always put something special in my food – my heart or "kokoro" as we call it in Japanese." NOBU Executive Chef Sean Mell will present a special 8-course Valentine’s menu at HK$3,988 for 2 persons inclusive of 10% service charge. The menu features a starter of Sake Mushi-Awabi, Red Shrimp Sashimi, with Rainbow Kiwi Yuzu Dressing. followed by Toro Tataki, Aburi Tairagai with Romanesco Blood Orange Dressing. Next is a Deluxe Sushi Assortment, followed by Uni & Oyster with Jalapeño Dressing. The new-style Japanese feast continues with Lobster Tempura with Strawberry Amazu Ponzu. This is followed by Smoked Buri Fillet, with Smoked Buri Filet, with sunchoke emulsion. Next is A5 Miyasaki Wagyu with Dark Cacao Miso, followed by Cold Soba with Uni Soy. Finally for dessert, Angel Gateau with Cassis, Cherry, Strawberry.

Nobu’s Sunday Lunch menu is a great way to experience Nobu's innovative new-style Japanese cuisine, with a choice of 4 appetizers, 1 main course, 1 rice or noodles and 1 dessert: HK$548 per person / HK$748 inclusive of free-flowing Champagne (plus 10% service).

For a "hearty" meal,THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill presents a 4-course dinner at HK$4,788 for 2 personsinclusive of 10% service charge. The special menu by STEAK HOUSE Chef Chui Ming Chan starts with "Lovers' Salad Bar" with Balik Salmon, Cherry Stone Clams and King Crab Legs, followed by "Dream Lovers": with Pan-seared Japanese Scallop with Sea Urchin Sauce and Truffle Mushroom Cappuccino "For Her" and Pan-seared Duck Foie Gras with Caramelized Apple and Blue Crab Bisque "For Him".

From the Charcoal Grill for the main course: "For Her": US Petit Filet Mignon (6 oz.) & Boston Lobster Thermidor. For Him: US Striploin (9 oz) & a Jumbo King Prawn – all served with a heart of vegetable skewer. For dessert, our InterContinental Hong Kong Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis has created a special dessert entitled "Forever Love" which is a Lychee & Rose Petal Cheesecake with Raspberry Sherbet.

With its dramatic panoramic harbourview, the Lobby Lounge offers a romantic option for Valentine's Day.

Enjoy a 3-course menu at HK$2,280 for 2 persons inclusive of 10% service charge. The menu features an appetizer sampler to share entitled "Romantic Lovers" – comprised of Aristocrat Caviar, French Oysters with Champagne Sabayon, Balik Style Salmon and Tuna Tartar with Wasabi Sauce. For the main course "In Love" features a choice of French Scallops with Black Truffle or US Beef Filet Mignon with Black Truffle. For dessert, InterContinental Hong Kong's Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis has created "Eternity" - Choux Puff Pastry with Raspberry Ganache and Crispy Pearls.

The Valentine's Tea Set includes a selection of gourmet sandwiches including Ginger Soya Bean Jelly with Crab Meat, Broccoli Puree with Wild Mushrooms, Deep-fried Foie Gras with Fig Jam and Smoked Salmon & Sour Cream in a Cone. Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis has created authentic Parisian style pastries that include Lemon/Blueberry Cake, Heart-shaped BlackBerry Tea Chocolate Cake, and Napoleon with Cranberry/Kaffir-lime & Mandarin/Grapefruit, Ispahan Lychee/Rose Flowers and Chocolate/Raspberry Choux Puff Pastry Ganache. Our 2-Michelin star Cantonese Restaurant Yan Toh Heen will be open on Sunday, February 14 for both lunch and dinner. On Valentine’s evening, Yan Toh Heen offers a special 8-course set menu for two persons at HK$3,288 inclusive of 10% service.

Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai's Cantonese specialty menu includes :Caviar and Avocado with Crabmeat Salad, Braised Imperial Bird's Nest Stuffed in Bamboo Piths and Fish Maw, Poached Lobster and Bird's Nest in Egg White served with a Crispy Lobster Dumpling with Burrata Cheese. This is followed by Wok-seared Garoupa Fillet with Peach and Almonds and French Quail in Two Servings: Wok-seared French Quail with Maple Sauce and Wok-fried Minced Quail with Black Truffle served with Lettuce Wraps. Next is Wok-fried Wagyu Beef and Xue Lian with Beancurd, followed by Inaniwa Noodles with a Crispy Dumpling in Supreme Broth. For dessert, Apple Romanoff.

On Saturday, February 6, why not plan a Pre-Valentine’s Couple's Cooking Class with your partner? Learn to make dishes with Black Truffle with Stéphane Gortina, Executive Chef at the 1-Michelin star SPOON by Alain Ducasse. Stéphane will demonstrate how to make Black Truffle Risotto and Fillet of Beef Rossini Style. (Then you can try to recreate the special menu at home for Valentine's Dinner!)

The Cooking Class is 10:30am-2:30pm and is inclusive of a light breakfast and lunch with beverages (wine or Champagne, plus tea, coffee and juices). Price: HK$1,888 per adult Reserve two or more weeks in advance and received 20% off the above prices.
