About Perrier-Jouët

A luxury champagne house focused on quality, Perrier-Jouët has family roots reaching back to 1811, some of the finest vineyards in Champagne and a reputation for crafting floral, elegant cuvées of finesse. Behind this stands a line of just seven Cellar Masters who, over two centuries, have upheld the house style. Since its 1902 collaboration with Art Nouveau pioneer Emile Gallé, creator of the anemone design for the house’s Belle Epoque prestige cuvée, Perrier-Jouët has commissioned work from established and emerging artists including Daniel Arsham, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Studio Glithero and Simon Heijdens.

About Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2007

The cuvee Belle Epoque 2007 is the fruit of an astonishing year marked by a very mild winter and an exceptional spring. While preserving the House style, Hervé Deschamps blended this cuvee to emphasize the unique character of the 2007 vintage. His blend brings out the freshness and elegance of the Chardonnay (50%) from the grand crus of Cramant and Avize, From the Montagne de Reims, the Pinot Noirs (45%) display a generosity and delicate complexity that prolong the Chardonnays’ finesse. Finally the rounder charm of the Pinots Meuniers (5%) from the Dizy provides the finishing touch to this beautifully balanced cuvee. Over six years’ aging in Perrier-Jouët’s cellars and a low dosage (9 grams per litre) further refine the generosity and sophistication of this great vintage.

Generosity with Crystalline Freshness

To the eye: Light gold with an almost radiant clarity and fine, vibrant bubbles.

On the nose: Magnolia, honeysuckle and citrus aromas (bergamot, orange, lemon peel), clothed in just-ripe pear and peach notes with a hint of minerality.

On the palate: A wonderfully persistent crystalline freshness follows the bold attack, revealing white-fruit flavours complemented by notes of almond milk.

Perfect Pairings

The sophisticated generous character of the cuvee Belle Epoque 2007 pairs wonderfully with the salty freshness of seafood, tender poultry’s subtle flavours and the purity of lightly sugared fruit desserts. Ideally served at 10 - 12˚C, this cuvee can provide mouth-watering matches to delight the eye and palate in equal measure: Beauting by Perrier-Jouët.

InterContinental Hong Kong’s Executive Chef Nicola Canuti and Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis have created the Parisian Afternoon Tea Set featuring a tempting selection of savoury items and seasonal fruit pastries which pair beautifully with the Belle Epoque 2007.
